Klegg was a Section Leader in the Federation Death Squad. He and his troopers were the first to board the Liberator following the events of the Intergalactic War.
Klegg seemed suspicious of all around him and prone to violence. He and his soldiers did not have sufficient flight training to operate the Liberator without Zen's assistance; his first priority was to locate a member of the original crew whom Zen would respond to.
He was taken in by Tarrant's masquerade as a Federation officer, which allowed Tarrant, Avon and Dayna to ultimately turn the tables on he and his men. He was was choked to death by Dayna in the Liberator teleport bay.
